The Sunwell Trilogy had its original run time between 2005-2007 for reference. If you are going to use literary sources for such a statement then make sure you take into consideration all the literary sources we have available-especially those published more recently. Remember all the troll raids every expansion? There is no troll power base anywhere in the world outside ZandalarÄon't even know why I bother anymore with lore discussions but you are literally wrong on this point, and I don't take saying that lightly. There's barely any true opposition to the Horde among the trolls, now since the Dark Horde is now also defunct and the leaders of the hostile tribes having been killed long ago.We killed all the other trolls. Zandalar is the real crown jewel of troll inclusion, but the groundwork long ago laid by other tribes like the Revantusk and Darkspears. The majority of trolls at this point are either direct members or affiliated with the Horde. The Amani essentially broke themselves against Silvermoon and the Arathor empire, and by the time of Zandalar's joining the Horde were only a remnant, and the Farraki were never that big (I wouldn't even call it a former empire) and tended toward xenophobia and aloofness even now. The Drakkari obviously fell to the Scourge and cannibalized their own Loa in an attempt to prevent their fall, to no avail. The Drakkari and Gurubashi were largely defunct well before the Zandalari joined the Horde - the Gurubashi empire was eaten alive by Hakkar and the Hakkari, undergoing schisms and splintering into the jungle troll tribes like the Bloodscalp and so on. Troll history roughly parallels largish chunks of human history over the ages. Kind of understandable for a widely distributed group of people across multiple nation-states and identities. There's barely any true opposition to the Horde among the trolls, now since the Dark Horde is now also defunct and the leaders of the hostile tribes having been killed long ago. Not a bunch of lone small defiant outcasts who are controlled by a faction that has n qualms about killing them for wearing the wrong colors. Not so sure that scans, really. And it is those tribes Blizzard should focus on when writing new troll lore. Since these four make up the bulk of the troll race and formed historically the lagest empires. When I talk about the "other" troll tribes I usually mean Farraki, Drakkari, Amani and Gurubashi.
